Early Years Practitioner


The job role:

The successful candidate will work in teams led by an Early Years teacher in an open plan environment within an organic rhythm of the day. The Red House’s curriculum has a strong focus around Storytelling, Gardening, Art and Music and aims at the highest quality of the children’s experiences. The environment is filled with diverse resources, for example open fires in the winter, clay, an Art Studio, sewing machines and woodwork, always retaining a focus on naturally occurring resources and opportunities both inside and outside the building.


Candidates:

The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation to ensure the children access a wide range of experiences within the learning community. They will be motivated to constantly reflect on their practice – constantly re-imagine their pedagogy by working collaboratively with children and colleagues.


Qualifications:

Preferably holding a relevant level 3 qualification and/or have recent experience working in an Early Years setting.


Contract:

  • Part time 30 hours a week (10 am to 4pm)
  • Permanent
  • £16,500 per annum. Possibilities of progression through additional accountabilities remuneration

1:1 Learning support (Early Years Practitioner)


The job role:

The post available is for a Learning Support Practitioner who preferably has recent experience working in an Early Years setting. The right person will be caring, enthusiastic, sensitive and have the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will work in a team led collaboratively by Early Years teachers and practitioners. If you are motivated to constantly reflect on your practice – constantly re-imagine your pedagogy by working collaboratively with children and colleagues then you will be interested in this post.

The main responsibilities will be to support a child with SEN within the setting while making sure that social interactions within the group are fostered.

The Red House is an independent open plan Nursery for children aged 2 to 5+ years with a diverse teaching team of about 15 Early Years Teachers and Practitioners. Consistently graded as an ‘outstanding’ setting by Ofsted and recognised as Investors in People, The Red House is an open plan learning environment that is filled with diverse resources for example – an art studio, open fires in the winter, clay, sewing machines and woodwork, always retaining a focus on naturally occurring resources and opportunities both inside and outside the building.


Candidates:

The successful candidate will be required to plan and document specifics targets / strategies suggested by the SENCo. Knowledge of using IEPs would be desirable.
An enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team in an open plan environment will also be an essential characteristic.


Qualifications:

The candidate must have experience working in an Early Years setting and have some knowledge of the EYFS. Previous experience of working with children with SEN is desirable.

Contract:

  • The post will be Full Time, working 37.5 hours a week
  • The post is a temporary contract dependent on SEN funding (expected to continue until September 2023)
  • £19,240 per annum
