1:1 SEND support assistant
The post involves working on a one to one basis with a child with additional needs. You will be providing an individual curriculum, with support from the SENCo, and completing the relevant daily records of progress and monitoring. You will also liaise with the child’s parents and outside professionals with the SENCo.
You will be a committed and energetic professional, with experience of supporting children with additional needs, including autistic spectrum conditions.
You need to be able to complete support and monitoring paperwork as required, and be flexible, adaptable and open to learning new strategies.
You will have experience of supporting a child with additional needs, and ideally have had some training in communication strategies and Makaton.
27 fixed hours per week: Monday to Thursday 9.15 – 3.15, Friday 9.15 – 12.15.
Fixed term for one academic year.
£9.00 per hour.
