Knowle Park After School Care (KPASC):Breakfast and After School Club Manager

Description of Job role:


Knowle Park After School Care are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced manager to run its breakfast and after school care provision. Your responsibilities in this exciting and highly autonomous role include safety and welfare of children and staff, administration and day to day leadership of the setting. You will work alongside a dedicated team of playworkers, continue a great working relationship with the school who provide the facilities, and liaise directly with a supportive committee who oversee the charity.


What will you be doing?:

  • You will have overall responsibility for the running of the scheme including staffing, training & budgets
  • You will work with the established & dedicated team of playworkers to deliver a high standard of creative play activities
  • You will contribute to all relevant meetings, reporting on the club’s operation & working towards the long terms development of the setting
  • You will work alongside the clubs administrative assistant to maintain administrative systems including bookings, invoicing & staff time recording.

About You:

  • You will hold an NVQ level 3 qualification in play, childcare or equivalent
  • You will have significant experience working with 4-11 year olds
  • You will be highly organised and able to manage your own workload
  • You will have significant experience of managing a team, budgeting and cash handling
  • You will need ICT skills

Contract:

Standard hours: Monday-Friday 7:00-9:00am and 3:00 – 6:00pm (in club hours; 25 hours) plus 5 hours management time (30 hours total). Predominantly term-time. Some overtime available.

Circa £24k salary equivalent. £13.55, 30hrs per week, term time. Overtime available when required.
