Moon River: Nursery Practitioner

 

 

Our Nursery is looking for a caring, fun, and dedicated individual to join our exciting team.

We are looking for a someone who has a Childcare equivalent Level 3 or above Nursery Practitioner, who has 2 years’ experience or more in a nursery environment, who can work collaboratively with the team under the guidance of the Room Lead/Senior Team to ensure the smooth running of the group and the continuing education and wellbeing of all the children.

This position is part time, working 8am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Our Nursery values the child’s voice and thinking in everything we do. We follow the children’s interests through activities and projects that explore their questions and thinking about the world. Our rooms are calm, homely, and inviting.

Responsibilities of the post:

  • To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery.
  • To share information and support the parents and families of all children.
  • To participate in team meetings and other events including training, parents evening and fundraising events which usually happen outside normal working hours.
  • To maintain/support accurate learning stories for each individual child.
  • Good standard of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.
  • To be aware of need to report any safeguarding concerns immediately This job description gives a general indication of the range of work undertaken and will vary in detail because of changing demands and priorities within the nursery.
