Early Years Support Worker

Are you passionate about getting young children outdoors and active to seek out mini adventures and explore the natural world? Would you like to be a part of a passionate team of people who place outdoor play and learning at the heart of what we do?

We are a well established Forest School and Preschool which encourages children to immerse themselves in adventurous play. We are looking for an early years support worker to join our team. You will work as a secondary key person for a small group of children in the absence of their key person. You will be supported by the manager.

Our ideal candidate will be creative, high-energy, outstanding with young children and dedicated to having fun. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and be able to scaffold an environment for child-led, play-based learning.

Location: Brislington, Bristol, BS4 4DY

Hours: 2- 3 days a week (TBC but we don’t work Fridays)

Term Time Only: overtime is available at our holiday club which runs throughout the majority of school holidays.

Start: 07.09.2020

Salary: £9 – £10 per hour depending on experience

Job requirements: Previous experience of working with children aged 2-5 years old is essential. Forest school or outdoor education experience is desirable but not essential. You’ll be flexible, with strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. We can offer good professional development opportunities for the right person.
