The Red House Children’s Centre: Early Years Practitioners
2 x Full Time Early Years Practitioner
1 x Part Time Early Years Practitioner
The Red House Children’s Centre (Bristol, Redland) is an Independent, open plan Nursery open for 48 weeks of the year for children aged 2 to 4 plus years. There are currently 27 Teachers and Early Years practitioners working at The Red House and the new posts would join this diverse and vibrant team. Early Years practitioners work in areas of the open plan Nursery under the leadership and guidance of an Early Years Teacher. There is no requirement for formal learning journal documentation in these posts. The emphasis is on practice and thoughtful and meaningful interactions with all children.
Consistently graded as an ‘outstanding‘ setting by Ofsted and recognised as Investors in People, The Red House is an open plan learning environment that is filled with diverse resources for example – open fires in the winter, clay, spinning wheel, sewing machines and woodwork, always retaining a focus on naturally occurring resources and opportunities both inside and outside the building.
All roles includes all aspects of care and welfare but will also challenge you to think differently about early years. The Red House team constantly engages with educational research both our own and others’, ensuring that everyone who works with us is challenged and inspired by original ideas and alternative ways of re-thinking early years practice.
An enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team in an open plan environment will be an essential characteristic of any successful candidate. If you are motivated to constantly reflect on your practice – constantly re-imagine your pedagogy by working collaboratively with children and colleagues then you will be interested in one of the three new posts available.
