The position is within our ‘Infant Room’ working with children aged 17 months to 2 years, however the role will include some work alongside the staff of the ‘Baby Room’ as part of our Under Two’s Team. The candidate will be caring for the daily needs of the children, liaising with parents and working as part of a team.
The candidate should have some childcare experience, preferably within a nursery setting, but we are happy to consider applicants with other childcare experience. They must be able to follow and implement the ‘In the moment’ approach and meet the developmental needs of each individual child. They must be able to work within a friendly team, show initiative, have a genuine interest in the care and development of young children, be enthusiastic, be professional, and have good communication skills (written, verbal and listening). The candidate should ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, follow and understand the practises laid down in the nursery’s ‘Code of Good Working practice’ and keep up to date and implement nursery policies, especially Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
The candidate must be Level 3 Qualified, with some experience preferred.
Full time, working a 42.5 week. Either an 8.00am-5.30pm shift or 8.30am-6.00pm shift.
Contract, Hours, Pay & Benefits:
Permanent contract upon completion of 3 month probationary period. Pay dependant on age and experience.
