Job Role:

  • To work as part of the Children & Family Services team providing a safe, caring, stimulating and fun environment appropriate to the needs of individual children and families.
  • To be a passionate and committed individual who can engage with children at all levels.
  • To work as a member of the staff team to ensure that all children and their families receive a consistent service to the highest possible standard.
  • To train and learn in a supportive and caring environment.


Should be willing to learn and train whilst working. They should be patient, kind and warm.  They should want to work as part of a team & enjoy working with children

Qualifications and experience required:

Desirable: NVQ level 2 in childcare
English and Maths GCSE at Grade C or above

Experience: some knowledge and work-based experience
of the Early Years

Hours, Salary & Contract:

37.5 hours per week,  2 year contract

During the first year you will be paid the statutory rate of £7,605.00 pa (£3.90 per hour). In year two it will rise to the statutory minimum wage depending on the age of the candidate.

Job Role:
To support staff in providing and maintaining a high quality service provision within our Nursery and Farm Adventurers service.

  • To ensure that health and safety checks are carried out before every session and all areas used are left clean and tidy at the end of each session.
  • To monitor the condition of toys, equipment and environment in terms of safety, hygiene and correct storage, and to report any concerns immediately.
  • To support staff in providing sessions which have a clear structure and meets all areas of the curriculum and coincides with children’s interests including maintaining and further developing


  • Kind, caring and warm.
  • Able to be flexible with working hours.
  • Enjoys working in a team.
  • Enjoys working with children.

Qualifications and experience required:Experience of working with children – essential
An early years qualification – desirable

Contract & Wages:

Flexible, Sessional contract

£8.63 per hour
