By the time they are 5 years old, 1 in 5 children will have one or more decayed, missing or filled teeth. This course will focus on breakfast for a good start to the day, ideas for snacks and promoting dental health. During this course participants will:

  • Learn about how to provide breakfast and snacks so they are meeting current best practice guidelines.
  • Find out how to pledge to be Sugar Smart.
  • Have information and guidance on how to promote good dental health practices to children and their families
  • Both observe and participate in the preparation of dishes.

This course is for both early years and play practitioners.

Cost:Free for Bristol-based Ofsted registered childcare workers and Bristol BAND members, however a £50 deposit per person booking is required to secure a place. 10% discount to non-Bristol BAND member groups. £30 all others.
