Windmill Hill Children & Family Services: Senior Early Years Practitioner – Maternity Leave cover: minimum of 12 months 

  • Working with children aged 1 ½ – 2 ½ years
  • 22.5 hours per week: Wednesday – Friday all year round, various shift patterns ranging from 7.45am to a 6.00pm.
  • Salary: £12,296.70 per annum pro rata (£10.51 per hour)

We want you to join us in creating a great indoor and outdoor learning environment for the children and build trusting relationships with their parents.
Your day will include access to a range of experiences including outdoor play spaces, training opportunities and the farm facilities allowing each day to be different and exciting!
We’ll help you to further develop your knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage with training and support.
The successful candidate will lead and support the Pear Blossom Room providing exciting experiences and opportunities for children aged 1 ½ – 2 ½ years in our unique setting.

Qualifications/experience for this post:


  • Level 3 Early Years qualification in Childcare
  • Minimum 1 years experience of leading a team
  • Minimum 2 years (paid) experience working in Early Years
  • Experience of working with the EYFS framework
  • An enjoyment of working outdoors


  • Experience of working with vulnerable families
  • Experience of working with Tapestry (e-learning diary)
  • Food Hygiene certificate
