This is a certificated Basic Food Hygiene course.

Course content:

  • Food Hygiene Definition, hazards and risk
    Food Poisoning Contamination, types and sources (including allergens)
    Bacterial multiplication and key control measures
    Common FP bacteria, sources and control
    Personal Hygiene Human pathogens and control measures
    Food Storage Temperature control, date marking and coding
    Cleaning Key requirements
    Pest Control Control of major pests
    Food Safety Law Key requirements and offences
    Hazard Analysis and HACCP

Participants will be encouraged to discuss issues relating to food handling in their setting.
