An important part of running successful childcare is ensuring everyone involved with your setting understands what is needed and how to achieve this in a consistent manner.
A way of ensuring this happens is by developing policies and procedures. These inform everyone of what to do and when to do it, and cover legal obligations in relation to registration, safeguarding and health and safety among other responsibilities.
At BAND, our members have access to our Policy Guidance Pack, which we continually review and update in response to changes in legislation that could impact on practice.
This is an invaluable resource that contains over 150 policies, procedures and guidance sheets which, by adapting model documents to be applicable and appropriate to their setting, helps providers develop and sustain quality practice and meet Ofsted and legal requirements for running small childcare businesses.
We share the contents of the pack with providers from Bristol, if you want any sample documentation or to discuss a policy need you can contact Admin@bandltd.org.uk or your development and support worker.
