BAND News is our free newsletter, delivered straight to the inboxes of BAND member groups and other associated organisations and individuals across Bristol and beyond.
It’s published 6 times a year by BAND staff, who draw on years of practical expertise and experience & BAND members receive a copy delivered straight to their inboxes as soon as it is published.
With each edition BAND members can stay up to date with breaking developments in the childcare and play sector and every issue is packed with valuable content such as:
- Updates on local and national childcare news
- Guidance on management, funding, and playwork
- Training opportunities and job vacancies
- Lots of practical play ideas related to the time or year and cultural events
- Events, and conferences in childcare and play

Access to back issues
Whilst we see BAND news as a great membership perk, we also understand the value of back issues being available to visitors to our website, and for our members to find older issues in one place, so you can find these below.
It’s a great library resource that gives you the opportunity to find articles about play practice, cultural calendars, changes to legislation and how to ensure your setting is compliant.
But remember the most recent issues will only be sent directly to members of BAND who also benefit from access to all of our other services & support.
