About you:

Are you looking for your next step within Early Education, if so, we are searching for a Lead Practitioner who is caring, confident and motivated to lead and manage their own team, work with families, enjoy the Charity wider offer and collaborate with our internal Early Years team.

You will develop and strengthen the current room and work alongside supportive team members including supporting an apprentice. You will be part of a management team, alongside other Lead Practitioners. Working with children aged 3 -4, you will be passionate about providing our youngest friends with a secure, warm and caring environment. You will see the potential in all the children in our care and will collaborate closely with our team to create interesting opportunities for each child to develop and shine.


Key Responsibilities:

To lead a team to provide and maintain an emotionally secure, safe, consistent, supportive and caring environment appropriate to the individual needs of young children and their families.

To inspire, motivate the support the team to develop and implement all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting the team to plan, organise and resource the nursery environment both in and out of doors to enable each child to reach his or her full potential.

Establish positive relationships with children to facilitate their learning and development, forming positive relationships with parents/carers to be active participants in their child’s learning.

To foster and develop the abilities, social skills and understanding of children aged 3-5 years to support their optimum development, whilst promoting the community ethos of the Centre.


Qualifications and experience:

  • NNEB, Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent 5 years’ experience of working in an early years setting
  • Experience of leading a diverse team
  • An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years and be able to use this information to make sure all children are reaching their full potential
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to equal opportunities, health and safety and child protection policies and procedures
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/carers and professionals
  • Be flexible and able to use initiative at all times

Hours and Contract:

  • Full time 38.5 hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:45am to 5:00pm.
  • Permanent
  • Part time hours could be discussed at interview

Salary:

  • £32,430 full time per annum, Part time salary will be dependent on hours worked
