Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Room Leader to join the ECCC family to help lead our under 3’s room, Butterflies!

Collaboratively with a Senior Room Leader (who oversees our youngest baby room and the under 3’s) , you will encourage and motivate a team of staff, drawing on their skills and interests to maintain the best possible learning opportunities and environments available to our children.

Anti-racist practice and trauma informed approaches are at the heart of everything we do, from our curriculum and learning environment all the way through to our policies, leadership approaches and staff wellbeing commitments. We are proud of the role we play as educators in our community and are dedicated to developing quality practice and thinking about the ‘bigger picture’. Room Leaders have a huge influence on ECCC’s policy and practice.

All leaders have opportunities to develop their own knowledge and skills in all aspects of early education through regular training (in house and externally) as well as attending 6-weekly supervisions. We want to know what inspires your passion in Early Years and do what we can to keep that fire burning- if there is a particular area of practice you’d be interested in taking a lead in we want to hear from you!

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Approved Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or above)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK Early Years setting
  • Experience leading an area of practice
  • Experience managing/leading a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice
  • Passion for early education and a desire to keep learning and growing

Hours & Contract:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (finish 1.30pm Fridays)
  • Permanent contract

Salary & Benefits:
