The Role
We are looking for experienced enthusiastic Playworker coaches with 1:1 experience who will deliver a range of activities, motivating and inspiring children during our afterschool clubs (3pm-6pm) and also possible additional hours in the holidays.

At Shine we want every child to feel seen, heard and empowered. Our mentor coaches and 1:1 playworkers support children with varying needs in a range of activities. We run accessible holiday club and after school club sessions, development squads and intervention sessions during the schooling day.
Your role as a 1:1 playworker or coach mentor involves supporting and emboldening children in all their endeavours. We are looking for inspiring and nurturing individuals who are patient, positive and empathic. Skills in engagement, de-escalation and behaviour management are key.
The successful candidates will need to be organised and enthusiastic with the ability to communicate and interact with both children and parents in an approachable and professional manner.
Top candidates will have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs or disabilities and have a good understanding of neurodivergence.
