Job Role:
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about having a positive impact on KS1 children through the medium of arts, play and well-begin activities. Allowing young people to the space to digest their day, feeling calm and regulated ahead of home time. Alongside this have the ability to foster and maintain a strong and efficient team, who’s work and actions align to the core values of Unique Voice.
An After School Club Manager will passionately lead their team to provide a safe, stimulating, comfortable and friendly after school care setting. They will compliment school policies and fulfil statutory childcare provision requirements.
The successful candidates will need to be organised, supportive, enthusiastic and kind with the ability to communicate and interact with both children, parents and school staff in an approachable and professional manner. They must be able to demonstrate they are a nurturing individual, hardworking and has a good understanding of working with children ages 4 – 7 years.
The role requires the successful candidate to have a strong and thorough knowledge of Unique Voice policies and procedures. Experience working with young people with the ability to form effective working relationships with team members and participants and their families and requires awareness of particular children who may need additional support.
Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the daily management of the ASC site resources, requirements and staffing.
• Be the main point of contact for parents.
• Ensuring a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for children.
• Leading and coordinating various activities, tailored to different age groups.
• Maintaining professionalism in interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and schools.
• Safeguarding the well-being of all children attending our clubs.
• Ensuring you and your team maintain and follow our core values.

Candidates:
We welcome applications from candidates who have:
• Experience of working with children and young people from a variety of
backgrounds
• Ability to build an authentic rapport with children and young people
• Ability to empathise with the different needs and concerns of children and
young people
• Are engaging, fun and imaginative
• Are reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team
• Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS Check and register with the Update Service. Unique Voice is approved to process this on your behalf
• Awareness of safeguarding
• Willingness to carry out company policies, in particular with regard to safeguarding and child protection
Qualifications and experience required:
Essential:
• Experience of working creatively with children and young people
• Paediatric First Aid (training can be provided)
• Full driving licence and car
Desirable:
• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare / Early Years Care
• Safeguarding Training
Hours, Contract & Pay:
20 – 25 hours per week – 4-5 days per week
After School Club Delivery: 3-6pm (additional hours are flexible)
Part-time, Permanent, Term-Time only, Excludes Weekends
Salary & Benefits:
£15 per hour, plus holiday

SAFEGUARDING
Due to our position of trust in our sector and the nature of our work with children and young people, all employees employed directly with the Company will
be required to complete the Company Application Form to a required standard, provide suitable references and will be required to undergo enhanced DBS
checking; as required by Keeping Children Safe In Education (KCSIE) protocol. Part of your role will be processing the safer recruitment of staff and as such this role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
In the process of collecting references, we will request information regarding whether or not you are considered suitable to work with children and young people. You will be required to bring identification and processing documents with you to interview; a list of suitable documents will be provided once you have been shortlisted.
