The non-mobile baby injury protocol has changed across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

The main change is that when the Community Paediatrician is contacted in relation to a minor injury, it may be that instead of arranging for the baby to be examined, there may be a professional discussion about: the injury; the explanation; other information about the baby and the family and in certain situations may deem it unnecessary for a baby to be brought to hospital to be examined by a paediatrician.
The requirement to report to First Response still stands.
The parents leaflet is being updated, but not ready yet.
