Families in Focus have changed their name to Family Help. This is to help align them with new national guidance around supporting families and to support them to work more closely with social care. There will be no changes to referral processes.

To reflect this change, BAND have updated our Safeguarding Contacts Poster and Child Protection Policy, which now reference Family Help and not Families in Focus. There will be a full review of the BAND sample Child Protection Policy in the summer, ready for September.

Email addresses have also changed and are now:

familyhelpnorth@bristol.gov.uk
familyhelpeastcentral@bristol.gov.uk
familyhelpsouth@bristol.gov.uk

There will be a number of other changes across children’s services in the coming months and there is hopefully going to be a launch event later on in the year.

Please contact your Development and Support Worker if you have any queries.
