The Wessex Water Foundation provides funding for projects which bring people together to build stronger communities. They have three funds that will support our communities:

Community Fund
This fund aims to support community-based activities or projects that meet a local need and seek to improve the lives of local people who are in most need of support.
These activities or projects should be informed by the people or community they seek to serve and have considerable reach and wide community benefit

Environment Fund
The Environment Fund supports charitable and community activities that improve local biodiversity or have a positive impact on the environment for local people.

Avonmouth Area Community Fund
The fund is designed to support activities that will benefit communities in the Avonmouth and Lawrence Weston Ward, including Shirehampton. Priority will be given to projects that fulfil one or more of the following criteria:

• improve the availability of activities and support for young people aged 11+
• increase opportunities for improving health and wellbeing, including access to the natural environment
• improve access to job-related skills and training.
