Tie dye a t-shirt. Get ready for the summer sun with a designer one-off t-shirt. For best results do this over a number of days with at least 3 different dye buckets. First get a white t-shirt, you could buy a job lot in or ask children to bring in an old one from home. Get lots of string or rubber bands and start tying. For the classic circle, scrunch up the front of the shirt into a point and rubber band or tie the bundle, criss-crossing the material. Make sure it is really tight. Dip into the dye for at least 30 mins using tongs , rinse and leave to dry a lttle. If you want more than one circle or colour repeat the process on a slightly different place on the shirt and dye again. Repeat as many times as you like. When you have finished rinse & leave to dry , then unwrap all the bands or string and voila, unique t-shirt. Always remember to start with the lightest colour dye. There are lots of different effects you can try from the diagonal stripe, to rosettes, the spiral or the scrunch up. Have a look here.
