About This Course:

In recent years’ the number of children with a variety of medication needs has increased.  Acorn understands that medication training needs to take into consideration not only the needs of the child but also those of the staff team and Healthcare Professionals.

Delegates are informed of content of policies, procedures and administration recording practices using a variety of teaching techniques to meet the needs of individual delegates and includes the following:

  • Review of current practice
  • Legislation
  • Types and classification of medication
  • Storage and disposal
  • Administration of medicine
  • Recording administration
  • Supporting self-administration
  • Practical advice and guidance
  • Plenty of opportunity to ask questions

Cost: Free for Bristol-based Ofsted registered childcare workers and Bristol BAND members, 10% discount to non-Bristol BAND member groups. £40 all others.
