BAND TRAINING



BAND provides training on subjects relevant to play and childcare workers, managers and management committee members.

For over forty years we’ve worked with BAND member groups and childcare experts to create our highly successful training programme. Our courses cover topics in: Safeguarding & Welfare, Child Development, Equalities, Management & Finance, Arts & Crafts and Play, Playwork & EYFS. Each course is led by qualified and experienced facilitators.
Cost: Courses are free for Bristol-based Ofsted registered childcare workers and Bristol BAND members. 10% discount available to non-Bristol BAND member groups. All others please see website for cost of each course.
Childcare: A contribution towards costs at £4 per hour (not per child) for Bristol-based groups only.
Travel: Limited travel costs available for Bristol-based groups.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee & squash provided. For full day courses, please bring your own lunch.
Access: Sessions are held in accessible venues in North, South and Central/East Bristol. Courses are held in the daytime and evening and occasionally on Saturdays. We’ll try to meet participants’ access needs. please contact us if you’d like to talk about any specific requirements.

Child Protection – Refresher

A half day course to update childcare/playworkers who have already completed child protection training either with BAND or elsewhere previously.
