About This Course:

An introduction to the key aspects of supporting play opportunities for children and young people aged 4 to 16 in a variety of play settings.

It will:

  • Provide an understanding of the importance of play in children and young people’s lives.
  • Increase your knowledge of playwork practice, including play theory and the role of a playworker.
  • Explore equality, diversity and inclusion, child protection and the benefits of risk v health & safety.
  • Include some home study and 3 workplace tasks.

 

You need to be over 16 and working as a volunteer or paid worker in a play environment with children aged 4-16yrs.

Note: This is a certification equivalent to a Level 2 Award.
