37: Put on a puppet show

Put on a puppet show. Where to start with a puppet show? Is it making the puppets? Is it writing the story and songs? Is it making the puppet theatre? With such a chicken and egg question you could get lots of people involved making and creating all these things. There are a whole range of puppets you can make for different ages and abilities from finger puppets to sock puppets and shadow puppets. There are lots of ideas of how to out there, have a look here. Make a puppet theatre out of cardboard, a small finger puppet sized one can be made out of a cereal box, but you could make a full sized one out of a large box or big piece of card folded in 3. Cut a square shaped hole near the top for your stage. Decorate as you wish. For simply fix a layer of white tissue paper covering the stage space and backlight your puppets.

*Remember: always risk – assess your activities!
