This course is for staff who need to know how to safely administer medicine or assist children to take their own medication in play and childcare settings. This course does not cover administering Epi Pens.

Course content:

  • Legislation
  • Types and classification of medication
  • Storage and disposal of medication
  • Administration of medication
  • Supporting self-administration, independence and choice.

NB. This course does not cover the use of Epi-pens.
