This course is run by Chris Calland & Nicky Hutchinson – With over 50 years’ combined experience of supporting children’s emotional well-being, The run an independent consultancy Not Just Behaviour www.notjustbehaviour.co.uk
The mental health of children and young people has deteriorated in recent years. It is now estimated that 1 in 6 children have a probable mental health disorder. This course focuses on how to support all children to reflect on their experiences, process their feelings and develop their resilience and coping skills. We believe that it’s important to support children at an early stage to build their self-esteem and resilience, so that they are able to manage the pressures of modern life.
If a child is in good mental health, they can make the most of their potential, cope with the ups and downs of life and play a full part in their family, school, community and among friends. This course looks at how to support children in your setting to have good mental health and build resilience.
