This course is for staff working with children aged 5+ in after school or play settings.

Course content:

  • Looking at what is unacceptable behaviour
  • Recognising children’s emotional needs
  • Practical strategies and ways to respond to behaviour issues
  • Ways to re-engage children in play
  • Ways to develop positive behaviour in your setting.

Course details

Cost: Free for Bristol-based Ofsted registered childcare workers and Bristol BAND members. £80 all others, 10% discount to non-Bristol BAND member groups.

Tutors: Nicky Hutchinson and Chris Calland. Both have many years experience of working in Bristol schools and nurseries supporting children with behaviour issues and their families.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee & squash provided, please bring your own packed lunch.
