This course is for designated Fire Wardens / those responsible for coordinating staff evacuation during an emergency and first aid fire fighting.

Course content:

  • Human behaviour responses in fire/emergency situations
  • Basic principles of fire safety and protection
  • Theory and operation of fire extinguishing equipment
  • Classes of fire and mechanics of fire spread
  • Means of escape and evacuation procedures
  • Fire legislation and fire risk assessments.

Successful completion of the course is acknowledged by a certificate of competence.
