This course is an introduction to the key aspects of supporting play opportunities for children and young people 4 to 16 years in a variety of play settings.

  • It provides an understanding of the importance of play in children & young people’s lives.
  • It increases knowledge of playwork practice and the role of a playworker.
  • It provides an understanding of health & safety and child protection.

As part of this course there will be workplace tasks.
