This online course is for staff who need to know how to safely administer medicine or assist children to take their own medication in play and childcare settings.

Please Note: This course is unlikely to run again for another year, so this will be the last chance to get trained in Managing Medicine.

Course content:

  • Legislation
  • Types and classification of medication
  • Storage and disposal of medication
  • Administration of medication
  • Supporting self-administration, independence and choice.

NB. This course does not cover the use of Epi-pens.
